I first met Hannah and Matthew at a cosy pub on the outskirts of Coventry for their wedding consultation, where we spoke about what they were looking for over a hot chocolate. Luckily they said I provided exactly what they wanted - hurrah! Hannah and Matthew booked a Ruby Digital Package which includes all the best images - they ended up with 752 edited images of their special day in Warwickshire - thankfully although cloudy, it was a mild Autumnal day.
I started the day with the bridal party in a very relaxed and calm house - they were so organised, itching to get this wedding going! After THE dress was on I dashed over to the church to meet the groomsmen to get some classic manly shots. The men were definitely in a good mood pulling off their best 'Blue Steel' poses! Hannah and Matthew made their vows at Hannah's family church, Christ Church in Coventry, and had an amazing turnout almost filling up the entire church! There was so much love and it was a blessing to see so many smiling. Following the ceremony, we headed off to Lawsonford Village Hall, making a slight detour to a perfect woodland location based near Baddesley Clinton. I had found this on a recce with the dog a few days before to make sure it wasn't going to be too muddy. After spending 20 minutes shooting there, we ended our journey at the venue where we had lots of fun going through the traditional formal poses. There was still plenty of time to get many more extra shots of the guests. I love having this time as people make such an effort with their outfits and it's lovely for the bride and groom to have nice pictures of their guests. After one of the biggest BBQ meals I've ever had we then got ready for a lively evening with the Cèilidh band, and as you will see, everyone got involved and were still going strong after I left at around 11pm!
When I first met Hannah and Matthew, they both mentioned how uncomfortable they felt having their photo's taken, but as I say to every couple - 'No one likes their photo taken and it's my job to make sure you feel comfortable'. I work very hard to be unobtrusive and not pushy. I want to capture the emotion the day brings out in you in a cinematic style, not turn a wedding into a series of poses that feel awkward and unnatural. As you will see in their photos, they soon forgot I was even there capturing those precious little moments that will last a lifetime.
Let me invite you to follow my footsteps of their wedding day through the pictures below
