Welcome to Megan and Tom's wedding story which begins with a friend of a friend who recommended me to Megan and Tom – he remembered I had been studying Fine Art and Photography at Sheffield Hallam University. So even with all those years between us, he found me on Facebook, sent my details to Meg and Tom and here we are.
I first met Meg and Tom for our pre-wedding consultation on a sunny but brisk and windy autumnal day in Loughborough in a very nice country pub. Howie (my dog) even came for the ride and enjoyed a long muddy walk nearby. Over large mugs of hot chocolate and coffee we discussed their wedding plans and my work, whilst also going through my samples and packages. By the end of our chat we had a very good idea of just what kind of package and coverage they were looking for. Just a few days later, I had a lovely email to say that they wanted to officially book me in!
Megan and Tom chose the Ruby Digital Package. This includes all the best images from the day, in this case 722 high resolution images in my signature wooden box holding a matching USB and a nice wedge of small prints to go through.
The wedding was held at Weston Hall in Staffordshire - a stunning grade II listed building originally built in 1550! The Elizabethan building was perfect for a large wedding and even though it wasn’t a warm day, we still managed to get everyone outside for a variety of different photos.
I met the bridal party at 11:30am in the luxurious bridal suite, with a huge four-poster bed on the top floor with all the gorgeous structural beams showing – all in dark mahogany. Even though the windows were small, the lighting was perfect for the ‘getting ready’ shots. I managed to use some of the lamps to create a gorgeous shot of Meg perfecting her hair before getting into her dress. It was then time to meet Tom and his two Best Men, (at the bar of course) for a cheeky whisky to start the day. It was great to have a spare 15 minutes for a few indoor and outdoor shots before the guests started to arrive. The ceremony took place in a lovely light room with a gorgeous view of the Staffordshire countryside. Throughout the day I could see Meg and Tom were a perfect match, so clearly in love and you could tell all the guests were honoured to be there to witness their commitment to each other.
I want to thank all the staff at Weston Hall for being so helpful and hosting a gorgeous wedding.
I hope you enjoy the photos below where you will see the story of a couple in love celebrating their union then letting it loose on the dance floor!
